Eureka IL Professor of Biology 1967 Nope - got a late start. One daughter. Nope Surviving the Viet Nam war in the marines. More importantly, marrying my best friend (south side Chicago girl) and getting my Ph.D. in entomology - evolutionary biology. Teaching college for 32 years and enjoying it almost all the time. Writing a book on New Mexico butterflies and writing part of another book on immature insects. Being editor of two science journals. Are you kidding? A guy who started collecting butterflies as a 6-year old kid and still does it as part of his professional life eccentric? Don't make me laugh!
Hope you have fun at the reunion. I won't be able to make it : (

Los Lunas NM Retired Bank Examiner 1967 No She is deceased-Cathy Gallegos 42 years of service with the federal government. Probably--it makes life fun. Keeps everything from becoming too serious.
I married my best friend in 1975 and we immediately left New Mexico for North Carolina.  As he was a fighter pilot (F4s and F5s) in the Air Force we lived in the Philippines, England and Germany.  We were fortunate to travel the world.  I have one son who lives in Phoenix and is a Special Agent with Homeland Security.  I earned my degree when I was 45 and worked in Arizona, the Pentagon, Denver, and Austin as an auditor and bank examiner for the federal government.  I retired 2 years ago and moved back to NM to be close to my mother now that she is up in years.   I'm not sure I can attend the reunion, but I'm working on it. Albuquerque NM Writer, Ordained Minister
My background is in journalism as a writer and editor, especially business writing.  I've had the pleasure of being the managing editor of a book publishing company as well as an international law journal.  In addition to writing for newspapers, magazines, national, regional and academic venues, I have written several books.
My newest book, Dead Before You Know It, helps you tidy up your Very Important Papers, (VIPS) before you die.  We all have to have information organized and available for our family or executor to use when we die, so this practical, how-to book tells you what and how.  I also write books about the Christian faith under the name Patricia Cole Williams.
I graduated from seminary several years ago, so I am the Reverend Patricia Woods, in addition to being Mom of two and Mamaw to three sweet babies.  My ministry is in writing and teaching rather than in a church full time.  All my books are available on Amazon and coming to a bookstore near you very soon.  You can look for four more titles to appear just in time for that big selling season in three months.
When I'm not researching and writing, I chat with my children and grandchildren, play my piano, pet my animals, do needlework, knit, spin, sew and grow heirloom tomatoes.  And too much squash!  That stuff is prolific in the dust bowl of the back yard!  And in my heart sometimes I am still 17 and a dancing queen.

Missoula MT Wildlife Conservationist 1967 No grandchildren or children. Yes. My 36-year marriage to Rita Boulton, Santa Fe High School class of 1974. Also, helping to build a couple of wildlife conservation NGO's into successful and reputable organizations that have conserved hundreds of thousands of acres of wildlife habitat. Probably - I still feel like I was born a 100 years too late!
After DNHS, I went to UNM followed by graduate school at Colorado State University where I earned a Ph.D. in Wildlife Biology.  I've been blessed by having some exciting jobs in great locations - 4 years as a backcountry/climbing ranger at Mount Rainier National Park, Washington; 12 years as wildlife manager at Vermejo Park Ranch in northern New Mexico.  I then moved to Montana and spent 15 years with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, followed by 11 years with Vital Ground protecting grizzly bear habitat.  I'm now managing a private environmental grant-making foundation (Cinnabar Foundation) and serving on the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission. Spanaway WA Retired Budget Analyst 1967 Yes, two granddaughters - Shay and Brooke Yes - Yolanda Robles (Smelser) I am very proud to have gone back to school and received my degree when I was in my forties. However, the accomplishment that brings me the most joy, is a marriage of almost 45 years to my best friend, Paul and the three sons in our lives. I don't think I am, but others might disagree.
